Instructor Observed Course
For Instructor Candidates Completing Their Hands-On Session
Welcome to the final step of your certification journey. If you’re an instructor candidate with Smooth Bore CPR & First Aid (or affiliated with us), this page is where you schedule your in-person skills verification and observed teaching session — required to complete your instructor certification.
*This is NOT for public CPR/BLS students. This session is for those who are already certified and need to fulfill the in-person observation to become a full instructor.
What to Expect
A hands-on skills check (CPR, AED, First Aid, BLS, and any other relevant competencies) under instructor supervision.
A teaching demonstration — you’ll lead a class under observation to confirm your teaching readiness.
Feedback on your performance and guidance before you begin leading your own courses.
Professional documentation of your completion (if required), so that you’re fully cleared to teach independently.
Who Should Use This Page
Instructor-certification candidates who have completed the online portion of the course and need the in-person skills/observation session.
Previously certified instructors needing re-evaluation or renewal, if applicable.
*Please do not book via this page if you are a student seeking standard CPR, BLS, or First Aid certification — use the regular public class schedule instead.
How to Book Your Observation Session
Choose an available date and time from the scheduler below.
Fill out the booking form with your full name, contact info, and certification number.
Arrive prepared — bring any required instructor materials, books, manikin gear, and a valid student/provider card (if required).
The session will last ~2-3 hours and includes both skills check and teaching demonstration.
If no suitable slots are available, or you need special scheduling (e.g. private group, weekend slot, or travel to remote location), contact us directly — we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Smooth Bore CPR & First Aid reserves the right to refuse or reschedule observation sessions if prerequisites are not met (e.g. online coursework not completed, expired provider certification, or missing materials).
