Which certification does my workplace need — HSI or AHA?

Most businesses require HSI CPR, AED & First Aid because it’s commonly used for workplace safety and compliance training. We also offer AHA certification if your employer or agency specifically requires it.

Can we add Bloodborne Pathogens certification for our employees?

Yes — Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) is available as an optional add-on for both AHA and HSI training. Many workplaces bundle BBP with CPR/AED/First Aid so employees can complete everything in one visit.

Scheduling note: If you select BBP, please plan for approximately 1 additional hour of training time when choosing your date/time.

What do we need to provide at our facility?

On-site training typically requires:

  • A room large enough for your group

  • Chairs and/or tables (helpful)

  • A TV/monitor/projector to show course videos and Wi-Fi access

  • Open floor space for hands-on skills practice (CPR and other skills are practiced on the floor)

We bring the training equipment, manikins, AED trainers, and course materials.

How long does workplace CPR/First Aid training take?

On-site training time depends on the course you choose, the number of participants, and any add-ons. Most workplace sessions average approximately 5 hours, but total time may vary if you include Bloodborne Pathogens, a larger group size, or a required lunch break.

We’ll confirm your estimated training time during scheduling.

Do you give a lunch break during business training?

For most workplace training sessions, we typically do not schedule a formal lunch break to keep the class efficient and minimize time away from work.

That said, we understand some workplaces require lunch periods. Options we can support include:

Working lunch (eat while watching a short video/lecture segment)
Bring-your-own lunch with a quick scheduled break if required
