Upcoming Skills Session Dates

Skills Sessions are offered on scheduled dates throughout the month, including evening and weekend options.

Most students complete their skills session in approximately 45–60 minutes. Actual time may vary depending on class size and certification type. Sessions are scheduled in 1-hour blocks to allow time for check-in, skills evaluation, questions, and any required remediation. Please arrive at the scheduled start time.

⚠️ Skills sessions are the in-person portion of a blended learning course. Completion of the required online course is required before attending. If you have not yet purchased the online course, it may be added during registration.

Where is the skills session held?

Skills sessions are held at the Girl Scouts of Colorado building located at 580 24 1/2 Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81505.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Please enter through the NORTH door facing Culver's. Do not enter through the main/front entrance of the building.
Free parking is available on-site.

How long is the skills session?

Skills sessions are scheduled in 1-hour blocks to accommodate varying class sizes.

Do I need to complete the online portion before my skills session?

Yes. The online course must be completed in full before attending your skills session. Please bring a copy of your completion certificate (printed or electronic).

When will I receive my online course content?

If you purchase the online course through Smooth Bore CPR & First Aid, access instructions will be emailed within 24 hours of registration, often sooner. Please keep this processing time in mind when selecting your skills session date.

Can I attend a skills session if I purchased the online course elsewhere?

Yes. If you completed the online course through another provider, you may register for a Skills Session without adding the online course. Please email your completion certificate to info@smoothborecpr.com before attending your skills session.

Will we be practicing skills during the session?

Yes. Skills sessions are hands-on and include CPR, AED, and other required skill evaluations. Students should be prepared to kneel, bend, and perform CPR on the floor. If you have physical limitations or concerns, please contact us before your session so we can discuss accommodations.

How do I know which course to choose?

Choose the option that matches your online course:

BLS Skills Session – Healthcare providers, nursing students, EMS personnel, dental professionals, and other healthcare-related professions.
CPR/AED & First Aid Skills Session – Teachers, coaches, childcare providers, foster parents, workplace responders, and the general public.

What happens if I arrive late?

Skills sessions begin promptly at the scheduled start time. Students arriving late may need to be rescheduled to a future session.

Can multiple people attend the same skills session?

Absolutely. Skills sessions are conducted in a group format, and multiple students may attend the same scheduled session.
