BLS Blended Learning (AHA)
BLS blended learning is designed for healthcare providers who want to complete the American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider course using a flexible format. Complete the online portion first, then attend an in-person skills session with Smooth Bore CPR & First Aid to finish your certification.
How Blended Learning Works

If you purchased blended learning through Smooth Bore CPR & First Aid, you’ll receive online course access within 24 hours by email.
Complete the online portion, then attend your in-person skills session at the scheduled time.
Time Commitment
Public skills sessions are scheduled for 2 hours, but the total time may vary depending on the number of students in the session and overall skill level/experience. Please plan accordingly.
What You’ll Do During the Skills Session
During your in-person session, you will practice and demonstrate required BLS skills, including:
High-quality CPR (adult, child, and infant)
AED use
Ventilation skills (as applicable to BLS)
Team-based resuscitation skills (as applicable)

Online Course Completion Required
Your online portion must be completed before your scheduled in-person session. If the online portion is not complete and you need to reschedule, a $20 administrative rescheduling fee will apply.
Certification eCard
After successful course completion, your AHA BLS Provider eCard will be emailed within 48 business hours. Please make sure your name and email are entered correctly at checkout.

When will I receive the online course?
If you purchased blended learning through Smooth Bore CPR & First Aid, you’ll receive your online course access within 24 hours of booking.
Do I need to finish the online portion before class?
Yes. The online portion must be completed before your in-person session.
I bought the online course elsewhere—can I book skills-only with you?
Yes. Please email your online course completion certificate to admin@smoothborecpr.com prior to your appointment so we can verify completion and process your session.
How long is the in-person session?
Plan for up to 2 hours. Timing varies based on the number of students and overall experience level.
Will we be practicing on the floor?
Yes. Skills practice may involve kneeling and bending down on the floor. If you have concerns, contact us ahead of time so we can discuss modifications.
Can I schedule two people for the same time slot?
Yes. Book both students for the same day (different times), then email admin@smoothborecpr.com with both students’ names and the requested date/time so we can ensure they’re booked together.
When will I receive my eCard?
After successful completion, your certification eCard will be emailed within 48 business hours.
